Never met a meal here that we didn't like. Everything is very fresh, served hot & delicious. The wait staff is pleasant, courteous, quick as well as extremely attentive. Great food, great wine, great homemade desserts and great atmosphere, Parking is challenging but not the restaurants fault.

I gave this place another chance when a group of co workers ordered from here..... I recieved lamb instead of chicken and fries instead of green beans. Nothing was really good. Only mediocre. I won't order again.

Had the salmon with rice pilaf and green beans. It was good! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food and very helpful when we asked questions.

Delicious food, best gyro I've had since being in Greece. Alex was a wonderful server. I'll definitely be coming back!

Place was clean (that's a biggie) staff was friendly (another biggie) and the food was great (that's HUGE.) Beer prices and food prices are very reasonable. I was almost satisfied after the larger than I expected, delicious salad. I will SO go here again and tell others. Didn't have the items that didn't get a good review, but sandwiches we got were great. I'm giving this one $ because most everything on the menu is under 10. Only when you get into the Traditional Greek on the right side of the menu are the prices over 10.

I went here with my wife who loves Greek food. We started off with an Unsweet tea and a diet coke and she ordered a loaded greek fries as an appetizer. They brought my wife a sweet tea and when she brought the mistake to the servers attention it was quickly fixed and she apologized for the mistake. The loaded greek fries were AWESOME (french fries w/ feta cheese and gyro meat). We then ordered the gyro, souvlaki, chicken trio platter. The entree comes with a side and a salad. The house salad dressing is very delicious. The side we chose was the lemon potatoes. The platter was more than enough for us to share and they will bring out more pita bread if you ask for it. We were both pleasantly surprised when we saw the bill. If you are looking for a great causal place for lunch or dinner that has great food and attentive service all for a great price this is the place for you.

This place was really good. Keep in mind its a casual place, but the prices were decent, the service was great and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were generous. We got hummus, and the gyro platter, both were very good. We stopped in while on vacation; if this place was in my home town I would be eating here all the time.

I wasn't horrible but not as good as the Hungry Greek. Portions are a little small and the don't give you much Gyro meat. The staff is a little unfriendly. In a positive note it's very clean.

Love this place! We are frequent visitors. Staff is friendly and recognize is each time we come back. The food is authentic and so good. I recommend the potatoes, lemon rice soup and the gyro platter. Their Tzatziki sauce is the best around. Oh, don't forget the homemade salad dressing. I was a little unsure at first, but so glad I gave it a try. Delicious.

This is my husband's and mine's go-to place for great Greek food and impeccable service. The ladies here provide you with your food, refills and any other items you need, almost before you even know you need it! The Palm City location has the best servers. They are experienced and professional. Jensen Beach location, not as good service but the food is comparable.

This place is excellent! The food is all fresh and tasty and the portions are huge! I tried the lamb, beef and chicken combo all of which were excellent. They use a nice rich greek yogurt in their tzatziki sauce best I have tried yet. The french fries and lemon roasted potatoes are both so delicious you can't go wrong!

Good local Greek restaurant. It's a little cramped inside.

Last week, made another visit to Spiro's. The Broke Gourmet has been eating here over the past few years. The food has been consistently quite good, and the service very good. This time, the BG came with a party of five for a late lunch, midweek. Spiro's was fairly quiet, and we enjoyed the quiet rustic Greek café decor. Our server was Alex. A great and enthusiastic recent transplant from Santa Cruz, California. Alex treated us like gold. Superb service. We enjoyed a variety of dishes from the menu. The dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) were tender and flavorful. The well-cooked rice filling was redolent of lemon, and fresh mint. The avgo lemono soup was above average. Smooth without being too creamy, the soup had the right balance of chicken-y goodness, and a bit of tart lemon. The yia-yia's (grandmas) at my local Greek Orthodox church make it a bit better, Spiro's is good. My pastitsio, was also above average, but not quite exceptional. An ample serving of this savory casserole. Perfectly-cooked pasta atop a generous layer of browned ground beef. Nicely seasoned, with good flavor. Topped with a bright tasty tomato sauce. Spiro's version doesn't have as much of the creamy bechamel floating atop the casserole as I like. And without the custardy bechamel, Spiro's also lacks the characteristic nutmeg and spicing I get in other pastitsio. The roasted lemon potatoes are excellent. Big wedges, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Huge portion as a side. Grilled chicken, salads... All very good. If you are looking for a delicious meal at a reasonable price in St. Lucie West... Give Spiro's a visit. I'll be back.

Just finished our takeout and was extremely disappointed with the quality and the quantity. First, ordered the Chicken Gyro sandwich which had wilted lettuce and one tiny piece of onion. If I didn't get an extra Tzatziki there wouldn't have been any. The side salad was all wilted and had very little Feta. Plus, they forget about the most important ingredient "Chicken". Second, ordered the Chicken Pita sandwich which also had wilted lettuce plus a bonus which was a large center core of lettuce. The worst thing you could do is to skimp and do quality control. Please raise the price if you have to. Takeout should be no different than eating in. This is the second time this has happened. I don't know if I will be back. 05/09/14 Miffed in SLW

Yummy Greek food! We found this restaurant courtesy of yelp and I'm glad we came. I had the gyro platter and husband had the chicken gyro. We also had the flaming cheese appetizer because of the other reviews. It was really cool to watch and pretty tasty, but it was very greasy. If you're watching your fat intake, you'd probably want to avoid that one. My gyro platter was full of delicious meat, and it also came with a soup or salad and a choice of side (fries, rice pilaf, or one other thing that I can't remember). It was a lot of food, and definitely worth the money. We were so full that I had to skip dinner. And I didn't even finish the whole thing. Definitely large portions. When we were finished, the owner came by to ask how everything was. I love locally owned restaurants! Great service overall, and delicious food. In my opinion, you can't really go wrong with this one. Recommend!

Something happened. The staff was rude and seemed to us as though they had no idea what to do. The food delivery, EXTREMELY, slow and unfortunately not as tasty as usual. We witnessed a very nice couple ask why it was taking so long to get their food and the server snapped and told them that they were extremely busy and that they would just have to wait. The manager went over, unaware, to check on their meal and the couple explained what happened. When he confronted the server she convinced him that she did nothing wrong and that it was the customer. I was surprised to see another customer stand there waiting to be seated only to be ignored by the staff. We were quick to notice upon entering that the restaurant seemed dirty. This is highly unusual for this location but my partner and I did noticed that none of the normal staff that we always see here were all gone. Our experience here was sad enough to strike this location from the list. I will definitely have to say we will not be returning.

I had the chicken kabob with roasted potatoes. It was the best i've had in a very long time. The avlemono soup was also delicious. The village salad would have been a little bit better if the tomatoes, cucumers, and onions were proportionate. The service and presentation of the food was outstanding.

Our first visit was for lunch. I ordered a Souvlacki sandwich. The pork was really chewy and the Pita was difficult to bite into. . .I asked for a new piece of Pita and it was a little better. The sauce was clumped up in one spot in the pita in a large quantity (too much for my liking). The french-fries were good. Hubby ordered crispy tilapia and it was over-fried and the roll was old and had no flavor. His potato wedges were good. A couple of the tables were empty but dirty (it was not busy in the place). The place where they do some cooking is in the open and all we heard were plates banging and the chef and server's conversations. . .no class! Their Menu states that "they take pride in capturing the warm tradition of Greek hospitality". . . I think not! Don't think we saw one employee smile in there. . .too bad. We were hoping to have another place to eat in St Lucie West.. . . The second visit. . . NEVER!!!

Ordered the gyro. The meat was...cooked, but I believe the name of this dish was incorrectly posted in the menu. This was a feta wrap with a side of lamb/hamburger. There was honestly so much feta in this thing, that it took me a month to even think of feta without puking again. To this day, when my fiancée and I drive by, we look at this building and call it the feta night of 2012. We'd only been dating for 2 months at that point but it was the first time we each staked a claim to the toilets in what is now our home.

I usually don't have time to sit down so I generally get the gyro but I've had other items off the menu and all were quite good. Service is fast and nice.

This was our first time dining here. I went with my husband and young daughter. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the fries with feta and gyro meat first. I had the Mediterranean pita and greek salad. The food was amazing. We ordered the desert and the owner brought a small little bowl of ice cream separate for my daughter and also some rice pudding. We had a great meal and will definitely be going back. I think this is one of our favorite restaurants now. j

One of a small local chain of Greek restaurants/diners on the Treasure Coast. Very friendly atmosphere and very enjoyable food. Except for gyros, my wife wasn't much of a Greek afficionado before she tried Spiro's sampler. We have now become repeat customers and look forward to eating their moussaka and pastitsio often. If you want to avoid the big national chains in the Port St. Lucie area, Spiro's is surely one of your best choices!

This is an update to my first review. Decided to give Spiro's another chance, and I'm glad we did. We ordered the souvlaki platter, and the pork was beautifully seasoned, the tzatziki was fresh and garlicky, and the side tomatoes and calamari olives were very tasty. We started with a Greek salad, and opted for oil and vinegar dressing, much better than the prepared dressing they serve. We had a side order of green beans prepared Greek style,in an onion and tomato sauce-delicious! We were told that several customers had complained about the spinach pie and they resolved the problem. The manager was very interested to hear our comments, and wanted to do better. We'll be back!

We have been a fan of Spiros for over 5 years. We eat at one of the three restaurants at least once a week - The Olympic diners in Palm City is the first one, Olympic Taverna in Jensen Beach opened up a couple years ago and the new one Spiros Taverna in St Lucie west just opened. I guess the bad review was just when it opened. I think the food is very well prepared now. The main in St Lucie West is prepared foods, the sauté dishes are prepared in Palm City and Jensen Beach. The cooks have it together and the Waite staff very friendly. My wife and I really enjoy the food.
